GOALS

​Intersex London has 3 distinct goals:

First and foremost, we desire to build COMMUNITY. By bringing diverse people together who provide information, support and education to Individuals, parents, partners and friends, we will create allies in the wider community.

Secondly, we desire to foster accurate INFORMATION & EDUCATION. Intersex London is passionate about having a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to education and communication with all individuals and the wider public. By engaging in speaking events within our own community and across civic and cultural lines, Intersex London is dedicated to having clear and correct information about Intersex and the various categories that make up the community, thus de-stigmatizing intersex for a wider demographic of people.
 

Thirdly, we desire to create NURTURING ENVIRONMENTS. By building Community, Information & Education, Intersex London’s vision is to create safe spaces where all can be free to be themselves. Spaces where anyone can ask questions and get correct answers and support. Where all can express themselves and build their own networks throughout the community respecting the authenticity of their person.

With these three tenets, Intersex London hopes to achieve a greater degree of Acknowledgement, Validation & Acceptance for not just those with Intersex conditions, but marginalized individuals across the LGBTQIA+ community.

VALIDATION: recognition or affirmation that a person or their feelings or opinions are valid or worthwhile.
ACCEPTANCE: agreement with or belief in an idea, opinion, or explanation.
